Excellent historical reconstruction of the environment (sets, costume, hair & makeup) and events surrounding the keeping and the escape of 6 American diplomats who hid in the Teheran Canadian consulate for 444 days from November 1979 to 1981. Excellent casting for the actors. Their resemblance with the real people is phenomenal to the exception of Ben Affleck playing Tony Mandez. There is only a thick set of hair that makes the physical resemblance in that case. I guess there are some perks of being an actor and also the Director of the movie when it comes to choosing a part which is also the role of a hero. However, Affleck does a fantastic job in that role. It is very rare that a movie to which we know the ending in advance (we know that the diplomats were saved) can be so riveting. I heard applause when the aircraft takes off and again at the end of the presentation, which is unusual. Good job Ben!
