I should actually say 6.5. I went to see this movie expecting to be 'wowed' by the technology but I'm sad to say I was not wowed. There was indeed some amazing cinematography and I had no qualms with any of the actors. However I would have been happier to enjoy it all on an Imax screen 'without' 3D. For me, the 3D interfered with the continuity of certain scenes. Nevertheless it was an interesting, informative movie. It left me dismayed by how crowded this great mountain has become and by how many people are willing to die trying to climb it. Prior to seeing 'Everest' I admired the tenacity of these climbers 'now', I can only think their undeniable courage could be better spent.
