    Inside Llewyn Davis

A surprisingly dark film for the Coen's. It's a one man show on-screen for Oscar Isaac; the other participants serve only to emphasize Llewyn Davis' inability to make the right choices. The Coen's have chosen to focus on one of those people of whom Martin Scorsese would say 'don't count'; an individual who alienates those who can help him and befriends those that do hurt him. The Coen's use colour extensively, showing overcast skies and dark entertainment venues to exaggerate the futility of Davis' efforts. This film's future may well be in film schools for those learning the craft. Worth a second look.
