Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

I don't get how some folks give it a 9 or a 10, I had a deep mind battle on weather to give it a 7 or an 8. I left the cinema thinking 6.5 but then figured circumstances through. The issue is that although I did not find this movie to be to close to new hope, I did find JJ 's lack of faith disturbing. In a sense that he over worked some scenes and underworked others, it seems JJ was not able to make his mind on what parts of story to focus audience attention on. It also seems that he just could not handle the huge amounts of adjustments that were made in post return of the jedi story lines, he called it the novels. So the filming perspective was going in all sorts of directions and no new storyline emerged. It would have been great if JJ and Disney did not hipe it as much as a movie of a decade because it def did not deliver on that part, it's just good entertainment.
