    The Lady in the Van

Maggie Smith is a joy to watch; she is really at the top of her game in this movie. There are many layers to this story. How society cares for elders and people living marginal lives is one. This was the seventies so it would be different now. I don't think most young people would enjoy this movie. The movie also brought the Camden area of London alive. The ending was clever. Don't put off seeing this movie because you think it is sad because it is quite the opposite. It shows a group of people who inspite of themselves became quite caring.
