Helen Mirren Is great as she always is. Ryan does a respectable job. The story is well told with the flashbacks used in a way to give a good background to the present. Through the story of trying to get the painting back, the plight of the Jews is seen from a new perspective. The horror is shown in a subtle way without actually showing it. It is much more than the story of the painting. As long as the people who experienced the atrocities are alive it will not be forgotten. It will take movies such as this to keep history's lesson in people's consciousness. Also the cinema photography was beautiful in L. A. and Vienna.
