    Unbroken

Unbroken is (loosely) based on a true story and demonstrates just how far the human body and spirit can be pushed in movie land. The life experience of Louis Zamperini, in this movie is a little over the edge to the point where, while I have no doubt he suffered immensely, I don’t think any human could have physically survived the torture and hardship the character in this movie did. So was there a little embellishment? Very likely, and that generally makes good movies. The acting was really quite good and Angelina Jolie did an amazing job at directing this movie. Add the “feel good” part at the end, and this one is worth seeing. Warning: Do not go if you are tired. The movie is 2 hrs and 17 mins. You will be reminded of the movie Cast Away at times. You may find yourself looking at your watch wondering how long a particular scene is going to be drawn out.
