I just saw BIRD ON A WIRE at the Toronto Lightbox Cinema. It was presented by the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, with producer Tony Palmer supplying anecdotes. [...] It was the Leonard Cohen film, its first and thus far only public screening. For those not familiar with Mr. Cohen, he is a Canadian out of Montreal whose preference is writing poetry but managed to pen ditties such as Bird On A Wire, The Future, Suzanne, Marianne, Closing Time and many more which were covered by other artists.
