Aside for a few plot holes (uninhabited Romulan province wasn't so? and stealth 72 photon torpedoes to take out one guy and no questions...comical) and with a few stunt tricks stolen from Star Wars, it wasn't, um, too bad...though I should add a couple of observations. The movie leaves a person wondering if anyone on the entire ship could possibly do anything without the hierarchy of elite officers going on away missions and covert operations? Oh, and how good is security on the ship, Homeland Security does a better job than this lot. Also, not once in the last two movies has the any of the crew ever asked the computer a question, too, ever notice? Hopefully, they don't get so internalized by reintroducing younger versions of villains that they fall into a trap and turn the whole thing into a Treky placebo for money. It seems that this series is veering into a comic book adventure, complete with fabricated "she's breaking up and the warp core is down" echoing in every episode. Ugh, I believe this visually entertaining string is starting to lose the thought provoking impetus that has propelled it through the years. Starting to wane and want better. Hopefully, Earth doesn't get "attacked" again!, I think that might three strikes for me.
