Life can be so cruel! This story highlighting early onset 'Alzheimers' demonstrates this all too well. I went to see this movie for two reasons one: to gather valuable insight into my own cognitive health and two: to decide for myself the merits of Julianne Moore's performance, (an actor I have long admired) My conclusions are one: I still pray I'm okay? And two: Julianne Moore gives an 'excellent' performance. Is it her best performance ever? No! I, personally, didn't think so. However please keep in mind I've already set the 'bar' very high for her. However Kristen Stewart (who I had totally given up on), has won a second chance in my books.

It is now Aug 2018 and I have just re-watched 'Still Alice' as a result I wish to opine further on Julianna Moore's performance. Best ever? Still don't know she is indeed a great actor that was such a 'brilliant' moving performance. In fact I feel I under-rated the whole movie. It's 8:5 at least even now.
