Very disappointing for all of us who attended this movie last night. Jaden Smith certainly has a future in the business as it would appear he put the same effort in preparing for this role as his father usually does, but the script was so very weak. The movie dragged on and I can’t say if the acting was terrible or if was just the words the poor actors had to say. At least 5 times, I leaned over and said to my husband, how much you wanna bet this is going to happen, and of course it did. I know it’s just a movie, but it was so unrealistic. The single mother is transferred to Beijing for her job in the automotive business but she appears to be leaving a small apartment in downtown Detroit. You might have thought she was making a bit better money than that. You would think she would be worried that her kid is off for hours on end in a strange country, just hours after they arrive when theoretically they are both suffering jet lag. Honestly if you really want to see it, rent the DVD.

Every or I would say all the movies are unrealistic it's just for entertainment. If a movie watcher looking for realistic, it's never gonna be real. You better be off and don't watch movie anymore. And you ask many what if this and that and go over imagination of the movie then you're not watching it but you're directing a movie (remark you're not a director, you're just a watcher) so just stick with what the movie's made.
Yes, it IS just a movie... so, snap out of it!
Just have higher expectations for my money than you do I guess.
