Well... first off... Denzel must like train movies huh? 1-2-3 Pelham now this one? Anyway... A decent movie, good suspense and some good action. Now... not sure how "close" this was to the "true story"... but... next time they have a RUNAWAY train... How about this... BLOW THE TRACKS WITH DYNAMITE if you want to derail a train... ;) Seems to have worked 100% of the time in WW2...

Click here to show this comment. They couldn't blow it up due to the chemical content on the train. They wanted to avoid actually blowing up the train if possible.
You didn't read my post. I said blow the tracks not the train! What's the difference between blowing the tracks ahead of it vs. Using the derailers? Only by blowing the tracks it has no choice but to derail because there will be no tracks left to follow.
No, this train is the Chuck Norris of trains... so heavy, so fast, so dangerous that it wouldn't need tracks. It would plow all the way to the city before asploding.
