    Mr. Holmes

By far the best movie I have seen this year! The cinematography, set decoration and performances were SUPERB. I enjoyed this movie so much perhaps because I had not read the book it was based on... A SLIGHT TRICK of MIND by Mitch Cullen. The story follows (Ian McKellen )Mr. Holmes as he is struggling with dementia and trying desperately to remember and put closure to an important event in his life that caused his retirement. He is helped by (Laura Linney) his housekeeper's son (Milo Parker) Roger. For me this development of their relationship was the highlight of the movie. This movie was like a good book I wish did not end. I am sure Oscar Nominations will be awarded to this film.
