I did enjoy this movie, (I have not read the book but I may now) 'Racism' is a difficult subject to cover with real honesty. Unfortunately, it's often sugarcoated so as 'not' to alienate potential cinema goers and 'The Help' is no exception to this rule. However, since the movie fails to portray a viable male point of view, I'm guessing? The group it manages to alienate most is 'men'... black or white. Hopefully, I'm wrong? Because it does have real substance.
