When a movie is based on a true story, it always gets my interest. This one is no exception. Ordinary men coping with extraordinary circumstance is always a winner in Hollywood movies but pass that, there is rhythm in the movie. This rhythm is taking us up and down and around like a roller coaster and exploits very well the 2 sides of a hostage situation which is to put in perspective those who have everything to lose against those who have nothing left to lose and the perfect storm that can arise from it. Tom Hanks is brilliant in the traumatic shock scenes. The chief of the rebels is really good too in his portraying of the dilemma between being a “captain” to his crew and being just a thief.
