John Turturro created a fine topic for the big screen and I suspect he had input from Woody Allen. Both he and Allen played their characters in a laid back manner, quite different from their usual style. Although the story had a religious-centric setting, it was universal in its ramifications. The music was great and the actors presented their parts very well. Bob Balaban's presence always brings a smile to my face. My only disappointment was with the wrap up. It seemed rushed. Thus my less-than-glorifying rating. Don't misunderstand. I liked the film.
