This is a mixed bag for me. Notice that I'm the first "older" woman to review this film. The good: Colin Firth -- what could be bad? Michael Caine, & Samuel L. Jackson -- again they meet expectations. The new young actor playing Egsey -- very watchable -- good career ahead of him. I'm not a devotee of action flicks, but I've enjoyed older James Bond movies and Superman movies. I loved comic books back in the day. BUT - and here's the big but -- This is uber violent. It's almost like playing a video game. Watch the people getting killed or blown up in the most horrific ways. If you love the f-bombs, then you'll love this. The people that made this movie must be desensitized to violence. Kind of a sad statement on this genre of film-making. This movie has all the potential to have been a 10/10 -- kill a few thousand less people and take out the swearing and you'd have a great movie.
