    Manchester by the Sea

The movie was not a traditional feel good movie but it told a realistic story. The acting was topnotch with well earned nominations. The scenery only added to the melancholy mood. The score was haunting. The story did go back and forth but that explained the tumultuous feelings and anguish of the main character. Many people think the ending is not "happy" but in reality not all endings are happy. The ending here is not totally sad but it is in keeping with the main character to do anything else would have been out of character.
