Noah

As a Christian I found this to be a movie which takes God very seriously. The acting was superb and the special effects impressive. Some time ago I did an in depth study of the book of Genesis and realized that my Sunday School version of the stories from this book in the Bible had been sanitized and sugar coated. Aside from the Watchers who seemed a bit silly and distracting to me, I think the film presents a very credible version of how Noah's story could have happened. It is true that in the Bible Noah's sons all had wives. The idea that God intended man to steward and care for His creation was especially relevant in light of Global warming and the mindless greed and exploitation of resources that seems to keep us from acting as stewards. I came away reflecting on the fact that God may be patient and slow to act but when judgement comes it will be swift and catastrophic.
