    Queen of Katwe

Wonderful and inspiring story set in Katwe an impoverished neighbourhood in Kampala, Uganda. Spent time there ten years ago and was amazed at how well the film depicted both the harsh living conditions and the irrepressible and joyful spirit of the people living there. Kudos to Disney. This is not the first time that they have brought a true story of a courageous gifted underdog rising to the top through talent, grit and perserverance to the screen. Beautifully acted. Movie is a tribute to selfless efforts of the young man who coaches these children and teaches them not just to excell at chess, but at life. Bravo to all involved in this little gem.
