This is a silly, stupid picture. Here's why I say that; the Will Smith character had to be clinically depressed to make the choices that he made. No right-thinking person would make those choices. Further to make a picture that glorifies this reduced emotional capacity is morally wrong. The only way to successfully portray the Smith character is to leave the audience in the dark as to the facts behind his motivations until the very end when by this time you are so wrapped up in the love story that the writer and director are hoping you are not thinking straight. That's the only way this picture works. You have been warned! :D

Your judgments are latent and pregnant with fallacy. Your words only serve to illuminate your emotional state and all that has informed your mental process. By "right-thinking" I must assume you mean "logical, colonial, ideological" and this is what is morally wrong.

Anyone who puts "now I pronounce you Chuch and larry" above this exceptional performance by Will Smith cannot be credible? This movie is original and will touch your heart! Will deserves a nomination for his portrayal in this REAL movie.

I called 'Chuck and Larry' a piece of crap. If you want to split hairs between a 3 & 4 rating then by all means if you must, but if that is your only criticism of my review then you have nothing much to say about my analysis. See you at the movies! :D

Please tell me what is false about my assessment of this picture. You believe it is correct to end ones life because one is the only survivor to a tragic accident? You agree the Smith character had nothing more to contribute to society other than a few body parts? Only a sick mind would agree to that after careful deliberation. Do you have something against rationality? Time to grow-up little sister. :D

U dont know what your talking about... u have to go thru what he went thru... he may have been a martyr, but he did a good deed considering the pain and the suffering he caused.

Accidents happen every day, you endorse those who survive such events to kill themselves just so they can donate their body parts to the needy? That's insane! The tragic events that happened to the Smith character changed his outlook on life and made him more thoughtful and caring of others. That was a good thing and he should have gotten the mental help he needed so he could have gone on to make a lifetime of contributions to the downtrodden of society instead of his one time contributions of body parts. If anyone needed help it was Smith, he had to be suffering from severe depression to make the choices he made. That is my point.

My sentiments exactly. It is morally wrong to glorify suicide. Will's character needed professional therapy and possibly a good anti-depressant!

I 100% agree with rpmail. It's morally wrong to support suicide in anyway. There is nothing honorable or glorifying by killing yourself. If the caracter had any guts, he would have stay alive and live the life that the 7 others persons killed in the accident could had lived. As for the persons that gives insults the rpmail for his critics, get over yourself. If you do not agree with someone, write why you don't agree. STOP insulting someone for his opinions, that's just childish.
