The book is as told by Katniss. The movie was not able to convey her thoughts and feelings accurately. For example, Peeta is a nuisance she puts up with out of guilt for him saving her life. In the movie she seems genuinely attracted to him. Some inaccuracies for example, the mockingjay pin was to have come from Madge, not Prim. Didn't Peeta lose his leg at the end of the hunger games? These things seem fairly important and could have easily been incorporated into the movie. I very much disliked the jittery camera movements especially at the beginning. I also found some scenes long and drawn out. On a positive note I think the casting and acting was very good. The shallow mentality of the Capital's citizens and their love of the games was exactly as I imagined when reading the book. I got caught up in the hype and this movie did not meet my expectations.
