In 1970's powder cocaine turned into America's biggest drug problem as it replaced pot as the drug of choice among the rich and famous. This is the true story of George Jung's (Johnny Depp) spectacular rise and fall when he worked for reputed drug kingpin Carlos Escobar, then became the 35 billion-dollar-a-year conduit to the Colombian cartels and was finaly accused and sentenced of single-handedly importing cocaine into the USA.
