This movie was a pile of confusion. Not much of a plot other than Ground Hog Day scenario. There was no character development so no attachment. Tom Cruise is too old and too short for these roles. There was no explanation as to who the invaders were and how they got here and what they wanted. They appeared to be mindless automatons The multi-flex limbed variety made no sense whatsoever... and the big dragon-like "important' member of the invading force was a freaking silver-blue dragon of some kind. Where were the aliens who had language and culture? These stupid creatures are not the designers of interstellar travel... so who brought them here? This was nothing but another special effects fantasy that did not engage and did not endear... it was a waste of time and money. No more of these stupid movies for me. And... thankfully we didn't bother with the SMALL gold-plated popcorn and Glosset raisins... total $12 dollars... with NO drink... Netflix is a better deal. Or bring your own munchies. This is double rip off. I haven't felt anything but ripped-off at the big screen movies for years now... we went from almost every Friday night to about once a month... to about every three months now... when there looks like a decent movie. We screwed up on this one. We will be more careful in the future.
