The Hateful Eight

Ok. So Tarantino comes out with #8. We are all pumped and can't wait. Hard to be him cause his movies are so good in their own way. This one however won't be for everyone. We showed up at 10pm at the only theatre showing it on Cambie to find a huge lineup outside and inside. Mmm... Outside cause anxious fans are waiting to buy their tickets and inside for fans waiting for their refunds as the theatre will not show it in 70mm and many fans are leaving. I assume the package with the film never showed up on time? Not sure but I travelled 30 minutes and will watch regardless. I feel the best way to let you know if you might enjoy Hateful Eight is if I you liked Jackie Brown or even better The Kill Bill series with lots of dialogue and character introduction before any serious action. However in H8 when the action begins; watch out there is plenty of it and not for the faint of heart. I personally love the slow pace, the dialogue, the way it is shot and the great bloody action. In the end Hateful Eight may not be my favourite Tarantino movie but I personally did enjoy it and will certainly go see it again.
