In every way this movie feels epic, (made for the 'big' screen.) An extremely powerful performance from Leonardo DiCaprio, enhanced further by a stellar supporting cast. Wonderful cinematography which maximizes the awesome beauty and unforgiving nature of the location. A brutal reminder of a part of history for which there should always be sorrow, regret and yes, shame. I also felt the musical score very noteworthy. It succeeded in further heightening the mood of so many scenes already ultra compelling in of themselves. So in fully acknowledged the greatness of this movie: Did I actually enjoy my experience? Well, I'm still unsure? It certainly was an emotionally gruelling 2hrs and 36 mins hence my only excuse for a one short of a ten rating. ( BTW just feel compelled to add I do wish 'Leo' luck at the Oscars, in my books he should have a few already.)
