The movie started very well with good acting from Jake Gyllenhaal, and Rachel McAdams. After she died in the movie she was missed by both the audience and Jake's character. This sends Jake's character in a tailspin which causes him to lose custody of his daughter. Oona Lawrence was fantastic in her role as the daughter very realistic performance without being cute or just an added on character. The second half of the movie was some what too Rocky like. Depending on the rest of the year's movies Jake could be up for a nomination for awards. A good movie not just for boxing fans.
