This was, simply put, a fun movie. The acting was pretty good considering it's a Vin Diesel movie. Better than the Riddick movies. Wouldn't go so far as to say it compares with Blade. Blade sucked ( in my opinion ), and this was definitely a nice change, considering you can't surf the channels without seeing something about Vampires. It was good to see the actress from Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey. Julie Engelbrecht... I think. A fine actress regardless. Michael Caine did a good job as well. There was a lot happening, so I'm sure I'll pick up more detail next time I see it. Also, there were alot of new twists on the old genre; going from the 12th-13th centuries to modern day New York. Not Oscar material, but you don't have to leave your brain at the door either. If you're just expecting a good time, you probably will. Overall, I enjoyed this movie and will see it again before it leaves the theatres.
