Tt's the kind of slightly crazy and wildly free project that only a poet could come up with. Walking, and walking some more, for 760 kilometres along the roads of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and parts of north-eastern Ontario, with nothing but a knapsack, a walking stick and the memorized words of Gaston Miron. Accompanied by the poet's La marche à l'amour, whose many meanings reveal themselves as he walks, actor Alexandre Castonguay meets men and women, and shares his private thoughts about art, love, solitude and courage. Beautifully directed by Dominic Leclerc, "Alex marche à l'amour" is an odyssey, through art, into the heart of the human condition at its most beautiful, delicate and touching.
