A provocative feature documentary that questions the exploration of shale oil on the beautiful and mysterious island of Anticosti. After having spearheaded the citizen's movement to stop gas fracking in the St-Lawrence River valley of Quebec and succeeded, renowned metteur-en-scène Dominic Champagne signs his first feature documentary. Determined to stop the oil fracking industry from setting up shop on Anticosti he organizes, with the help of his son, a little hunting party where deer and oil compete for our attention. Must we exploit the oil on Anticosti? Is the promise of billions in revenues but a pipe dream for our politicians? With climate change upon us, and citizens demanding environmental protection, who is to decide of the fair use of our natural resources?
