Desi Munde is story based on True Events in late 1990's. A group of college graduates frustrated at lack of job opportunities and other troubles decide to leave their hometown in Punjab to look for a better life abroad. Despite family's pleas to persuade their loved ones not go; the group decides to pay an agent to facilitate their passage to London/UK. With fraudulent visas group lands in an unknown country and after spending months there, they are then smuggled in refrigerated truck to their final destination; a Journey of more than three days. Upon arrival group members are found to be frozen to death and dumped in local fields; however one (Garry) of them survives who makes his way to the local city and meets other men who are also living in the UK without visas; thus working and living with immigration papers. Garry along with others attend a concert that leads to a fight with two white men due to racial slur. As a result one of the men stabbed a white man and they ran. Garry is arrested and taken to police station then jail. Garry's brother comes to the UK with proper identification/documents to prove Garry's nationality and innocence; Garry returns to Punjab with his brother and Dolly, a girl he met and fell in love in London.
