Mercedes, a 40-something, married, mother of two, suddenly, and without explanation, decides to visit a psychiatrist. What begins as a mere curiosity turns into a devastating experience that causes a series of dramatic changes in her daily life. On the couch, she questions her marriage, her professional accomplishments, and her seductive prowess as a woman. The revelations from Mercedes to her analyst, as well as conversations with her best friend Monica, give new direction to the life she always considered good and stable, but without much excitement. It is only the beginning of a great transformation.
