Solitaire revolves around one Christmas Eve in the lives of three people; Burt, Maggie, and Al. Al and Burt were best buddies back in high school, but it's been 25 years since Al left town. On Christmas Eve, Burt receives a postcard from Al, telling him he will be in town for the evening, and to meet him at the truck stop, where Maggie works. It's a story of youthful enthusiasm and broken dreams, renewal and forgiveness, and of new beginnings.
