Stock car racer Steve Grayson (Presley) contends with his wayward manager who owes the IRS $145,000 after losing funds on horse races, while poor bookkeeping saddles him with a huge bill for back taxes that hampers his ability to continue racing competitively as he deflects questions from by-the-book auditor (Sinatra) sent to review his finances and seeks to recover the back taxes through his racing.
