A Real American Hero

Buford Pusser is a Tennessee sheriff who finds it easier to follow his own rules and must bend the laws in order to rid his town of the criminal element. The Sheriff single-handedly takes on his main adversary, cold-blooded bootlegger Danny Boy Mitchell, and the well-meaning Selmer townsfolk who use an obsolete statute to ostracize a recently paroled prostitute.
