Alias Loner

The film is based on true events that took place in the vicinity of Livani in 1945 after the return of the Soviet occupation. The Catholic priest Antons Juhnevics served in the Vanagi parish, and he hid local men in the household premises of the church to let them escape from the mobilisation in the Red Army. Having found himself to be in conflict with the ruling power due to his conviction, he was forced to decide on a radical step.
