Antoine, his wife, Catherine, and their daughter, Judith, are living the perfect life, despite Antoine's unfaithfulness. Luc, a drug dealer in jail, thinks he has been betrayed by André, one of his accomplices, which motivates him to get out as quickly as possible... Marie-José, who can't get pregnant, is undergoing treatments to have a child by her husband, Gilles, while trying to help her brother, Victor, come to Montreal because, according to her, his life is in danger with all the riots opposing the demonstrators who want President Aristide to resign. On an ordinary day, the destiny of all of these people will collide and their lives will never be the same again.
