    Long known by its English title, The World of Apu, the breathtaking conclusion to Satyajit Ray's trilogy finds Apu out of college and hoping to live as a writer. The film charts his romantic awakening and his eventual, fraught fatherhood, and Ray's attractive stars, Soumitra Chatterjee and Sharmila Tagore, were to be regulars in his subsequent films.
