Ariane

French private investigator Claude Chavasse learns his client's wife is having an affair with American playboy Frank Flannagan. When the client plots to kill Frank, Chavasse's sheltered daughter Ariane saves his life. She and Frank are instantly attracted, but she hides her name. They meet secretly in the afternoons and Frank falls in love. Jealous of the other lovers she pretends to have, he hires Chavasse to find her. Chavasse reveals the truth and urges Frank to leave Paris. At the train station, Ariane joins him and they depart together.
