Becoming A Monster

Quebecois lawyer François Chevalier travels to a Balkan country to defend alleged war criminal Viktor Rosh, who first refuses to speak to him. The lawyer must then conduct his own investigation. With the help of Jozef, the mysterious chauffeur and bodyguard provided to him, he retraces the genesis of the criminal, meeting his family, witnesses, a victim, as well as a woman who would have been his lover. Against all hope, François finally manages to get Viktor to speak by evoking a deep wound. In doing so, he soon realizes that the trial awaiting his client is a staging coordinated by the power in place.
