Bends

The tensions between working class and the wealthy, as well as the traditional Chinese culture and the modernized Hong Kong, are at the forefront in Bends. Anna, a Hong Kong housewife, suddenly finds herself deep in financial trouble after her husband disappears. Her driver, Fai, who lives in Shenzhen with his wife are expecting the couple's second child. But under China's One Child Policy, they need to find the money to pay the penalty or go to Hong Kong to give birth.
