Black Donnellys

Emigrating from Ireland to Canada in the 1800s is no easy feat, but the Donnelly family of Lucan, Ontario had a particularly difficult time assimilating with their neighbours. They earned a reputation for mean and vulgar behaviour, and after a land dispute went bad a man lay dead and the family patriarch found himself hiding out. As tensions boiled over an angry mob marched on the entire Donnelly clan, set on taking the law into their own hands.
