A mother and her 12-year-old son are staying at a lakeside hotel in Switzerland while on holiday, where the boy meets a dandyish race car driver who soon enough gravitates toward his mother. Suspecting a blooming affair, the boy grapples with his feelings of jealousy and fear that his parents' marriage could be doomed.
