Charulata

A restless upper-class woman (Madhabi Mukherjee), in Victorian-era colonized Bengal, lives a socially sanctioned life of idle ease while she struggles with a yearning to express both her literary gift and, still more forbidden, her attraction to her husband's cousin Amal (Soumitra Chatterjee).
