Chekavar is the story of a brave and loyal police officer, Kashinathan. Besides being a dutiful police officer he is also a strong family man. Kashinathan's sister Gowri is a final year MBBS student. Gowri becomes the epicenter of a certain incident. Kashinathan's retaliation to this ignites a chain reaction of unexpected events. The story unfolds as Kashinathan fights this one manned war against those who stand in the path of justice and his peaceful family life.
