In a haunting flashback, a child witnesses a brutal murder amid an eerie nursery rhyme. Years later, jazz pianist Marc Daly (David Hemmings) spots the axe slaying of a psychic from the street below while chatting with his drunken friend Carlo (Gabriele Lavia). As police probe the crime, Marc teams up with sharp reporter Gianna (Daria Nicolodi) to unravel the mystery. Realizing he is the killer's next target, Marc turns to paranormal professor Giordani (Glauco Mauri) for aid, only for the academic to fall victim, drawing Marc deeper into a twisted web of deception and death.
