Fred and Adam, a rebellious teen on the outs, don't know each other at all. But thanks to a support group, they embark together on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. She's trying to find peace with her past, while he's working to rein in his anger and sense of abandonment. As the miles unfold, amid clashes and quiet interludes, a tentative connection starts to form. Through the hardships of the trail, each uncovers a hidden inner strength they never knew they had.
