Comic artist Reid and his pregnant fiancée, Olivia, are celebrating their engagement at a remote cabin. However, after nearly getting into a car accident, they become lost in the woods and end up on a hidden shortcut. As they try to find their way, they experience violent visions, lose memories, and encounter a troubled hitchhiker. They soon realize that a terrifying killer is hunting them and that the shortcut holds darker and more personal secrets than they ever imagined.
