A sound effects technician in Philadelphia accidentally records audio from a car crash that kills a presidential candidate. Examining the tape, he realizes the noise was a gunshot rather than a tire blowout, proving the incident was murder. Teaming with an eyewitness, he investigates the conspiracy and uncovers evidence of political assassination, only to find himself hunted by those desperate to keep the truth buried.
