In San Francisco, commitment-phobic coffee house poet Charlie Mackenzie (Myers) has endured a string of disastrous relationships: Sherrie was a klepto who stole his cat, Jill secretly worked for the Mafia, and Pam smelled like beef vegetable soup. Fearing marriage as a path to doom, Charlie meets smart, sexy Harriet Michaels (Travis), who seems perfect and inspires him to overcome his anxieties and propose. But as doubts creep in, he suspects Harriet might be a Black Widow axe murderer who slays husbands on their honeymoons, leaving him to question if his paranoia is justified or if she's truly deadly.
